“Let me show you how to make bubbles.”

In The Daily Drool on June 17, 2009 at 10:16 pm

I have new neighbors.  I haven’t met them yet, but today I overheard their precocious son playing in the courtyard of my apartment complex.

“I’m gonna’ show you how to make bubbles.  Come here, let me show you how to make bubbles.”

“Why?” responded his dubious play-mate.

“Because,” he says “I know how.”

I couldn’t help but smile.

For don’t we adults tend to walk around quite arrogant in our “Knowing” – Forgetting that somewhere, once upon a time, we entered this world as naive babes completely unaware of all the potential stowed in our own fingers?  That we too used to get excited about bubbles?
